TGIF. . . . .

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. Its been an incredibly long week, not because anything momentous has happened but I have a baby who isn't sleeping AGAIN and I am so TIRED! I think she is getting her one year molars, which by the way her 1 year birthday is tomorrow. She is on the cranky side and just isn't resting well. I have spent the last 5 nights up and down with her, and today it all caught up with me. I couldn't hardly wait for Den to get home from school so I could take a much needed nap. Of course, Victoria, had only an hour nap all day and I could not get her to take another one without the worlds biggest fight. She sure can put up a huge fit when she doesn't want to sleep. Finally about 3pm she was sitting on my lap in the lazy-boy and fell asleep it wasn't long after that I, too, dozed off. I felt Den take her from my arms and I reclined the chair and slept for two hours. Oh My Gosh! did it ever feel good to get a few winks under my belt. My sweet husband went and bought us pizza for supper. What a gift that was. It didn't take long to clean up the mess, get two girls in the tub, run the dishwasher, throw a load of laundry in the washer, one in the dryer and fold one, get on my pj's before I got her out of the tub.

Now we are into the relaxing mode. YEAH. We are supposed to be hit with a huge snowstorm tomorrow so, as usual, this mom is praying for a snowday. I don't care if we have to make it up at the end of the year or not it will just be nice to have a 3-day weekend.

Victoria has her 1 year doctors appointment bright and early tomorrow and I was going to post a few pictures of our birthday girl but unfortunately our main computer is down, no clue why, it just isn't working so I cannot post any pictures. I have to resort to using a laptop which is so stinkin frustrating for me. Mostly its the mouse issue. I just don't like using a flat pad and my finger. Weird I know! and for some reason it makes my carpel tunnel act up in both wrists. So since I can't post any photos you get to read a long blog about life in general. . . aren't you so excited?

I had the best night last night. A good friend and I are on a mission of praying together each week, for our families, our church, and just basic needs. We were able to meet last night and she asked if we could also include her mom with us. O' what a blessing this was. I just love her mom. She is the sweetest Godliest woman I know and boy can she pray. It was just awesome. She mentioned how we are "a small army of women praying". I just thought that was a great analogy, since army is on my brain so much these days I could visually put it together. It was an hour and a half of heart-wrenching soul-searching prayer. All I can say is it was beautiful to sit, all cozy and comfy on a bed and lay our lives at the feet of Christ.

We have also started a once a month Saturday womens breakfast at church. What another awesome time too. The fellowship between the women of our church is unbelievable. We are all so very different yet so alike. We all have pretty much the same desire. . . .to be Godly women. . . to raise Godly children. . . .to love and serve our husbands and families. I am so thankful for these women and the way they are so open in their prayers and the transparancy in their lives. At the end of each breakfast we always draw names to continue on our walk of prayer and praying for each other. Its just so cool. . . our speaker for the month of January, was my friends mom that we prayed with last night. What a challenge she gave about being Godly women. Its amazing how God uses people and puts them in your life at the perfect moment because all she spoke about was what I was wrestling through in my own life and my own personal walk with God. I pray that God continues to mold and shape me so that not only can I be a great mom to my sons, but I can be a Godly example to my daughters and my daughters-in-law.

Well I have to end this all to abruptly. Jacqueline is in need of my listening ear for homework and Colson, who is still not feeling well, is begging me to lay with him so he can go to sleep! Of course, Victoria is grabbing at anything she can get ahold of, which is a blue marker that she somehow got the top off and is sucking. . . . Little Miss Blue Lips! I guess I will have to save any further comments for when its nice and quiet. Yeah right, just when does that happen in this home?

I am glad that you have found some Godly women to encourage and challenge as well as be encouraged and challenged by! What a blessing!
