"A precious Colson-ism"
Friday morning as I was taking Colson to school he was chattering about purchasing a new WEBKINZs. He was excited to get a little Dalmation to match the big one he has. As we were driving down the street I noticed our gas tank on the big "E". I said to Colson, "Hey buddy will you pray for us that we can make it to school and home 'cause the gas tank is on empty?" Colson loves to pray and he did so. After he said amen, he said, "mom, you take my money that I was gonna use to by a new Webkinz and put some gas in the tank!" O' be still my heart, I just love this kid! I told him that it was ok that daddy was gonna fill the tank before he left for the week. I also told him how sweet and thoughtful that was of him to give up something he really wanted for me.

I have been praying that God would help me see the blessings He has for me each day. What a blessing that was and first thing in the morning too. Sometimes I tend to dwell on the big things we need and not see the special blessings God sends along each and everyday!

How sweet he is!! Maybe he should give lessons - there's lots of people out there who could use them (including me)
