~~Last night Den and I were able to slip away, without kids, for a little alone time. We decided to go to one of the area's parks. The setting was beautiful, freshly fallen summer rain, gorgeous green grass, lush tress, and the smell of wet earth. Love it! We found a serene setting and parked. It'a not very often we can leave the chaos of home and enjoy a quiet moment together. We were able to pray and share. What a blessing to have a husband who goes before the throne of grace for me and our family. I love hearing him pray and it blesses my heart to hear him pray for each of our children. There are many times that praying, for my family, is overwhelming for me; 12 children, some with spouses, one with kids; as a parent we only want the best for our children, yet I tend to forget to ask God what He "wants" for them and what He sees is "best" for them. So, we sat there with our heads bowed, in our car, sharing our hearts with our Heavenly Father. It was awesome! I can't wait to do it again. There is something about praying with your spouse, your bestfriend, that just can't be matched with anyone else~~

It's a shame that sometimes life gets in the way of companionship with your spouse. Thank you for your post! Sharing anything with the one you leave comes soo naturally.
Isn't it powerful when you get to pray with someone else?!? Glad you got to get away for a little bit, I know how hectic things can get and how hard it is to find the quiet time you need to take sometimes!
Great pics in your other post, too...I love rainbows.
its also a blessing to have parents that pray for their children! thank you! one advantage to not being able to get away together very often is that you don't take it for granted when you have the opportunity to do so...glad you enjoyed your time together
Glad that you got the alone/reconnect time. It doesn't happen very often for us, either, but it really does make it that much more special!
Good for you two! It's a powerful, beautiful, and encouraging thing to pray and get so close to God and at the same time our spouses that way. Daniel and I need to do that more often! Thanks for the great example and prayers all the time! They make a difference! Thanks for always being there for us, too. What a blessing.
Hi Cindy! Thanks for visiting my blog...I always love 'meeting' new people =)
If you go to Godtube.com and search for cardboard testimonies it'll pop right up. Same on youtube.com I think.
I hope you'll drop by again!
