There really isn't much going on in our lives around here. When my older kids call, who live away from home, they always ask, "what's goin' on at home, anything new?" I wish I had great answers but I don't, its pretty much the same old same old! I sometimes wonder if they don't get bored hearing the mundane, yet they continue to call. Every morning at about 8:05 Branden calls on his way to work. I really enjoy his morning calls and he doesn't feel quite so far away. Sometimes throughout the day he will call on his break or his lunch. Bryan usually will send off a text at some point during the day and usually calls each evening. He always asks if I will pray with him before we hang up. I love that! The first time he asked if we could pray I thought he was going to and waited, then he said, something to the effect of, "mom you gonna pray?" I laughed and said, "oh I thought you were" and now I know when he asks he wants me to pray and I love it! Its so awesome to be able to bring anything before the throne, with your kids. What a blessing and a gift! It's cool too, to see them growing from the scripture that Den texts them almost everyday! I love how we stay connected via texting, facebook, emails and cell phones. Dan usually checks in everyday too and I hadn't heard from him in a couple of days, (his cell went through the washer) and yesterday just as I was wondering if he had gotten his new one in the mail, he called! From time to time Brad calls us too, from Africa. Sometimes the connections are scratchy, yet most of the time they are clear, and its amazing because you wouldn't know he is thousands of miles away. It's definitely hard having my man-boys away, yet our connection remains close and constant! Our kids have weathered alot of storms with us, and sometimes its through them that we find our greatest encouragment, their kind words, their love, their hugs and support continue to bless us and give us strength to persevere. Its a challenge trying to walk the right path; and satan uses every angle to pull us, to get us to stumble and to cloud our vision, some days its only with baby steps we continue and others we are able to take giant leaps. It is, "taking one day at a time" not worrying about tomorrow. Its knowing, "I can do all things, everything, through Christ, because He gives me the strength" no matter what, every minute of it! I remember an old Kathy Tricolli song, "I will choose Christ. . . ."! Me too, even in the midst of a storm!! How about you?

You crack me up...I noticed that this post says that not much is going on, and then the one before this says there is never a dull moment around there.

I noticed the same thing as 'crispy' and chuckled...

Thank God for the technology that keeps us connected!

Hope things are well there.

I am so happy for your connectedness with your family. It is wonderful to have the connection in Christ! Even hooks us up with "cyber stalkers" :-)
