Den and I were invited to attend a fundraising dinner for the Honorable James Marleau, Michigan Senator. My son, Benjamin, works for him and we were able to enjoy an evening of hor d'oeuvres, jazz and conversations. It was exciting to dress-up and rub elbows with the elite of our states government. It was also a time were we, as parents, couldn't have been more proud of our son. He was highly praised for his role in making the event a huge success; at one point our former Lieutenant Governor said that he raised the bar high for future fund raising events.
